Walhalla TC fall service project makes the news by collecting almost 200 children’s books to donate to a local preschool.
Instructor Dr. Lana McCall praises this year’s group, “I am very proud of these students. While completing their rigorous course work, they were able to collect these books for the preschool and helped to raise money for the Ken Bower Scholarship by creating and donating a basket for a silent auction held in November. I look forward to seeing these young people excel in college and, hopefully, return to teach in Oconee County.”
St. John’s Preschool in Walhalla received the book collection. Pictured is Walhalla High Teacher Cadet, Morgan Rackley, and preschool director Cindy Kelly. Kelly was appreciative of the books and is excited to distribute them among the classes.
