Picture
In order to be considered for membership in the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society, a student must be a junior or senior with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (unweighted) on the state grading scale. A teacher leadership committee will select from all qualifying applicants those who excel in scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

(For South Carolina Student Applicants Only)
The TCNHS Application Window: November 1st - February 1st

We are excited that you are considering applying for membership into the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society. The application will allow you to complete each component online and in one place. The application also allows users to start the application and come back to complete it as needed. Before you begin, please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and review the membership guidelines at the link provided on this page. The link to apply is posted below.

In order for your application to be considered complete, you must answer all questions on the online application, and a high school transcript and two references must be submitted through the Kaleidoscope system before 11:59 PM on February 1. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed or scored.
Notes:

1) Acceptance into the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society is a privilege, not a right. Notice the definitions for each aspect of achievement that would deem you worthy of membership.

2) DO NOT send TCNHS dues at this time. Those accepted into the TCNHS will be notified when to submit their dues of $25.00.

3) Candidates become TCNHS members when formally inducted. All students accepted for membership MUST BE FORMALLY INDUCTED into the TCNHS by attending the induction ceremony on March 4, 2023. There will only be one statewide induction ceremony. Details regarding format, location, and time will be included in the acceptance letter for those selected for membership.
