Region 5: The Lowcountry
The Lowcountry region of South Carolina includes the counties of Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Hampton, and Jasper. This area reflects a rich history and cultural diversity that make our region of the state unique. From salt marshes to inland rivers, agriculture-both past and present, and historical ruins dating back to the 1700s, the Lowcountry will intrigue and educate both visitors and natives, alike. Program Facilitator
Dr. Karen Pack is proud to serve as the Program Facilitator for Region 5, the Lowcountry. Karen also served at CERRA, 2016 - 2019, as the Pre-Collegiate Program Facilitator for Region 2.
Education: Karen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary of Education from The University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Furman University. She also earned an Ed.S. and Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina. Experience: Karen has 26 years of classroom and administrative experience while working in Spartanburg School District Seven. She also served as a mentor teacher, trainer & evaluator, adjunct instructor, and student teacher supervisor. |
