Todd came to CERRA from Horry County Schools where he spent over fifteen years teaching. He taught special education at Lakewood Elementary School and Broadcast Journalism and Teacher Cadets at Carolina Forest High School. Scholl, a former Teacher Cadet, served on CERRA's Advisory Board and helped with the last Teacher Cadet curriculum revision. Todd received a B.A. in Journalism from The University of South Carolina and a M.Ed in Secondary Education from Coastal Carolina University. He resides in Myrtle Beach with his wife and three children: Madison (17), Colin (14), and Sophie (8).
What brought you to CERRA? I was a Teacher Cadet at Conway High School and always looked back on that class fondly. I was asked to start a Teacher Cadet Program at Carolina Forest High School in 2005. Over the years, I became more invested in CERRA's mission to recruit, retain, and advance the best and brightest people to lead South Carolina's classrooms. I was brought on as a Teacher-in-Residence in 2011 to serve as a liaison between CERRA and South Carolina's Palmetto Priority Schools. During the summer of 2011, I was offered my current position and feel honored to be a part of an all-star staff.
